Chillicothe - Donald E. Triplett, 74, of Chillicothe, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 8, 2021 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Kentucky following an extended illness.

He was born December 5, 1946, in Moussy, Kentucky, son of the late Otis and Audrey (Wicker) Triplett. On October 28, 1967, he married his beloved wife Sharon Lynn Triplett, and together they shared nearly 47 years of marriage before her passing July 13, 2014.

Surviving are their two children, Nicole L. (Ryan) Turner, and Jeremy D. Triplett; six grandchildren, Anthony Turner, Andria Turner, Aaron Turner, Julian Triplett, Nathan Triplett, and Vanessa Chandler; two great-grandchildren, Keelie and Kaelen Chandler; three siblings, Brennon Triplett, Bob Triplett, and Minnie Collins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy A. Triplett, and three siblings, Tom Triplett, Bill Triplett, and Jo Kinnison.

Don worked for the Glatfelter Paper Company in Chillicothe for many years before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed getting together with friends to play banjo. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. His family will forever remember his fun-loving personality and his ability to fix anything; a true handyman!

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Arber officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a visitation on Monday evening from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
