Joanne Partee Obituary
CHILLICOTHE: Joanne M. Partee, 76, of Chillicothe, died 1:45 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness.
She was born December 2, 1935, in Ross County, to the late Harvey S. and B. Marie Wintersheimer Wagner. On June 10, 1954, she married William H. Partee, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Michael W. (Evelyn) Partee, Joseph W. (Debbie) Partee, John H. "Jack" (Pam) Partee and Rebecca J. (Kevin) McCorkle, all of Chillicothe; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter to arrive in July; sisters, Jane (Charles) Landrum, of Frankfort, KY, June (Clark) Lovensheimer, of Ocean City, MD and Joyce (James) Norris, of Chillicothe; brothers, Jeff (Tammy) Wagner, Ron (Becky) Wagner and Don (Debby) Wagner, all of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joanne was a member of Adena Road Church of Christ and a member of its BYKOTA Ladies Group. She was secretary for Chief Logan Council Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years. She was also secretary for the late Attorney Joe Kear and served as a former board secretary for the Adena Road Church of Christ.
Joanne was lovingly known to her father-in-law as "Dutchman". She was a life- long avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Seth Tinkler officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at Wares from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

To Bill, your children, and all the rest of the family: you may not know us, but your mom and dad were our babysitters years and years ago. They cared for our sons, Johnny and Joe Zajdel, as if they were family, and we actually felt as though they were. They were so proud of you and Joanne, Bill, and your wonderful family and very, very often spoke of you with such love. They often told us cute little things Mike, Jack, Joe, or Becky had done or said. We extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of Joanne.

Bill and family, we are so sorry to learn of Joanne. She was a dear classmate of mine in high school and always a lovely person. God bless her.
My favorite memory is standing on the porch of the "Y", two weeks before graduation, and Joanne was talking about her upcoming wedding which was to occur just a week or two after we graduated. It sounded so romantic! While we were talking, Bill arrived to pick her up.
