Patrick Whaley Obituary
RUSSELLS POINT: Patrick "Pat" Lewis Whaley, 63, of Russells Point, OH, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 16, 2014 at his home.
Pat was born on January 14, 1951, in Circleville, OH to the late Pearl R. and Elsie V. Smith Whaley.
On April 29, 2014, he married the former Kimberly M. Kindle and she survives. He is also survived by six children: Sean M. Whaley of Washington Court House OH, Sarah M. (Rick) Shultz of DeGraff, OH, Corey M. (Brent) Topp and Audrey V. Whaley, both of Lakeview, OH, Emily G. Whaley of Bellefontaine, OH and Brooke L. Whaley of Columbus, OH; two stepchildren: Patricia (Chris) Evans of Lakeview, OH, and Teather (Jason) Faulder of Russells Point; 11 grandchildren: Logan, Emma, Maverick, Owen, Gage, Lincoln, Layden, Bella, Stella, Nate, and Lexi, four step-grandchildren, Geona, Allyson, Kolten, and Brooklyn; one great-grandchild, Ashley Tiller; one sister, Vickie L. Stonerock, of Circleville; three brothers: Larry A. Whaley and Bruce S. Whaley, both of Circleville, and Charles R. Whaley, of Newport News, FL.
Pat was a detective/deputy for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for 27 years. He was a graduate of Westfall High School in Williamsport, OH and attended Oscar Rose Jr. College in Oklahoma City, OK. He is a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39 in Lakeview and VFW Post 4423 in Okeechobee, Fl. He was also a member of the Orange Team at the Chillicothe VA Center and enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson, flying gyrocopters and golfing.
Reverend Bill Reilly will begin funeral services at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, with visitation from 11-1. Burial is in Highland Cemetery with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
Contributions may be given in his name to Wilson Hospice, 1083 Fairington Drive, Sidney, OH 45365.
Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.

I want to offer my condolences as a first cousin and growing up in the Circleville area. I am Ed and Mary Whaley's oldest daughter. We shared family reunions at our grandparents' farm home and later in other locations. I saw him recently at his parents' funerals. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.
