Beryl Ouimette Obituary

Beryl Imogene Messer Ouimette, 84, peacefully passed on Wednesday, March 30, 2011.

Born April 18, 1926 in Grand Rapids, Mich., she settled in Chippewa Falls. In the 1950's and 60's, she worked at     Sacred Heart Hospital (LPN, COTA). With a BFA from UW-Eau Claire, Magna Cum Laude, she was active in the art community (Beroui Studios, Heyde Center for the Arts, Madison/Rhinelander School of Arts) and a long-time volunteer in several programs (Stephen Ministries, Meals on Wheels, Triniteam Caregivers, Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups, Presbyterian Women, and the Chippewa Falls Area Senior Center).

Survivors include: Muriel Robinson (Gerald - deceased), Cheryl Ouimette, Thomas Ouimette (Teri) and Beryl Ouimette Jr. (Stacey Enslow).

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles "Tom" Ouimette and her son Charles "Chuck" Ouimette (Susan surviving). Extended family will miss her dearly.

Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Chippewa Falls at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9. There will be a short service at 2 p.m. followed by a reception displaying a range of her works throughout her life.
