David Bakeman Obituary

David J. Bakeman, 45, of Chippewa Falls died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at the University Medical Center in Minneapolis.

He was born Sept. 29, 1968 in Chippewa Falls to Katherine (Smoot) and Larry Bakeman. He grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from Memorial High School in 1986. During high school, he was on the wrestling and football teams. He had survived epilepsy since being diagnosed in the third grade.

David enjoyed watching wrestling, gardening, being outdoors, watching movies and playing cards. He will be remembered for his wonderful laugh and big sense of humor. David never took life too seriously; he was taken away too soon. We know God has a special job for him. He will be missed, but his spirit will fly within our hearts.

Survivors include: his parents, Larry and Katherine Bakeman of Chippewa Falls; two brothers, Larry (Justyna) Bakeman of Minneapolis, Minn., and Jim (Rosa Maria) of Eau Claire; nieces and nephews Damian (Cassandra) Bakeman, Aaron (Kayla) Bakeman, Christopher and Jason Tandy, Tammy and Pete Frisilone, and Carmyne and Deighton Bakeman.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.

A private service and burial will be held.

Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, Chippewa Falls, is serving the family.
