Dylan Young Crabb, 16, resident of Holcombe, passed away Monday morning, Memorial Day, May 25, 2009, at Fairview University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis after a 2 1/2 year battle with Leukemia.
He was born the son of Frank and Lori (Craker) Crabb, May 15, 1993, in Eau Claire. He was raised on the Craker family farm in Holcombe and attended schools in Holcombe and Cornell where he was a sophomore.
Dylan loved life and fought his disease to the very end. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had many interests including farming.
Survivors include: his mother Lori and her special friend and also a partner to Dylan, Bruce Johnson; his father Frank Crabb; two sisters, Morgan of Cornell and Jayde of Holcombe; his grandparents, James and Doris Crabb of Tony and Carolean and Donald Craker of Holcombe; and a great grandmother Margaret Craker of Holcombe. Dylan is further survived by aunts, and uncles and other relatives and friends.
Dylan is finally free from the pain and limitations this disease has bestowed upon him.
Funeral services for Dylan will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at The Cornell High School with Rev. E. Bradley Carloss, from the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service at the school on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to direct memorials to the Ronald McDonald House. The family would like to express their gratitude to the community and the Swanson Family and the medical personal for their generous and caring support.
