Gretta Lamb Obituary

Gretta Bennett Lamb, 91, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

She was born May 27, 1913, in Yakima, Wash., the daughter of Frances (Dalton) and John Bennett. She graduated from McDonell Memorial High School in 1930 and the Eau Claire Teacher's College. She taught school in Royal Oak, Mich. and at the Northern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled until she retired in 1975.

She is survived by: her three children, Betsy (Pete) Patterson of Chippewa Falls, John (Cass) Lamb of Eau Claire, Susan (Dave) Nagle of Clear Lake, Iowa; six grandchildren, Ann Prueher Bohl, Charles Prueher, Patrick Lamb, Erin Lamb, Jonathan Nagle, Gretta Nagle; two great-grandchildren, Robbie Bohl and Jacob Bohl. She is also survived by: Harriet Pinch, Mary Rifleman, Betsy Lagomarcino and many nieces and nephews of the Bennett and Pinch families.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Cy Lamb; and two sisters, Mary and Frances; and a brother, Jack.

To honor Gretta's memory, there will be an Irish Celebration of her Life at Arizona's Restaurant, Chippewa Falls, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 16.

Memorial contributions to McDonell Central High School, Chippewa Falls, in Gretta's memory would be appreciated.

Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls is serving the family.
