Jane E. (Schneck) Eke

LINO LAKES - Jane E. (Schneck) Eke, 78, of Lino Lakes.

Preceded in death by parents, Emma and George Schneck; sister, Ruth.

Survived by husband of 59 years, Alan; children, Ann (James) Yurcek, Daniel Eke, Martha (Joe) Christian, Gretchen (Steve) Grandgenett and Timothy (Katrina) Eke; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, David; other relatives and friends.

Jane was born Aug. 5, 1937, and raised in Menomonie, Wis. After graduating from Menomonie High School, she went to work at UW-Stout, where she met her husband, Alan. She was an amazing wife and her love of children led her to a life of care-giving for many. She is known for her creativity in painting/drawing, sewing, knitting and decorating. Jane had a great passion for music and enjoyed attending performances of any kind of her children and grandchildren. Unbeknownst to many, she was an avid baseball fan, enjoying the Twins and teaching grandkids to play ball. She was a friend to all animals and her faith in Christ drove her in all she did. Her naturally patient and kind spirit will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

A celebration of Jane's life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., with a time of remembrance at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel, 1385 107th Ave. NE, Blaine, Minn. Jane will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016, in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Menomonie, Wis. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
