HENERSON Nev. -- Kevin A. Stephens, 35, of Henderson, Nev. and formerly of Chippewa Falls died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at University Medical Center in Las Vegas as the result of an accident. He was born in Lakenheath, England on March 1, 1969, the son of Alan and Judy Stephens. Kevin graduated from Chippewa Falls High School with the class of 1987.
Kevin married Sarah L. Deetz on September 29, 2000, in Eau Claire at Valleybrook Church.
He was self-employed for many years in the Eau Claire area doing home maintenance and repairs. Kevin and Sarah moved to Las Vegas in 2003, where he recently became employed as a home inspector for the real estate industry.
While living in Eau Claire, they were members of Valleybrook Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Sarah; parents, Alan and Judy Stephens of Chippewa Falls; his sister, Debbie (Lorne) Patzoldt; niece and nephew, Nicole and Tyler Patzoldt all of Chippewa Falls; grandparents, Dee Stephens of Menomonie, and Glen and Violet Minor of Wheeler; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Linda Deetz of Eleva; three sisters-in-law, Anne (Ken) Voigts of Eleva, Kris (John) Andre of Chippewa Falls and Lisa (Nate) Stafford of Rock Falls; a brother-in-law, Peter (Angie) Deetz of Rock Falls; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his grandfather, Arthur Stephens.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 12 at Valleybrook Church, 412 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire with Pastor Kendal Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Menomonie.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to service Monday at the church.
