EAU CLAIRE -- Marian M. Yeager, 77, passed away on Oct. 24, 2003 at The Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.
She was born on March 25, 1926 at her home in the town of Delmar, Stanley, the daughter of Theodore and Magdalena (Seidl) Mahr. She was united in marriage to Gerald Yeager on July 15,1949, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd.
Marian grew up in the Delmar area and attended area schools, graduating from the Boyd High School in 1944. Upon her marriage to Gerald Yeager, they then farmed in the town of Delmar. In the last few years, she has resided at The Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire.
Besides her great love of family, Marian also enjoyed visiting with her many friends. She was a member of the Boyd American Legion Walter Nelson Post #326 Auxiliary, St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the St. Elizabeth's Society.
Survivors include: three sons, George (Caroline) and Francis, both of Boyd, and Glen (Sheila) of Wausau; two daughters, Joan (Ray) Ciolkosz of Great Falls, Mont., and Gayle (Bud) Eslinger of Boyd; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Gwiazdon of Thorp and Dorothy Tannler of Chippewa Falls; and one brother, Donald Mahr of Boyd.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Gerald, in 1995; two sisters, Laura Reiter and Rosetta Simmons; and four brothers, Herman, Leo, Ted and Roman Mahr.
Funeral services for Marian Yeager will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 at the Plombon Funeral Chapel, Stanley.
