Marilyn J. Dachel
CHIIPPEWA FALLS - Marilyn J. Dachel, 95, of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 2:24 a.m. at Our House Senior Living in Chippewa Falls under the care of St. Croix Hospice. This living earth lost an Old Fashion, unique soul but, with that loss to us, she got to meet up with her soulmate again playing daily Yahtzee games and watching the Price is Right. 74 years of marriage gives her that right! And Dewey, here you go! You have your hands full again!
Marilyn was born February 4, 1929 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of George C. and Charlotte (Patrie) White. She graduated from McDonell High School in 1947.
On October 29, 1949, Marilyn married the love of her life, Peter J. Dachel, Jr. at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. She was a member of Notre Dame Church, the Senior Center and the YMCA.
Marilyn is survived by four sons: #1 Donald (Mary), #3 Thomas (Tammy), #5 Terry (Kris) all of Chippewa Falls and #4 Timmy "Tim" (Kim) of Sand Creek; one brother, George (Susan) White of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one brother-in-law, Richard Block of West Allis; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Peter on April 24, 2024; #2 son, Duane; her parents; one brother, Donald White; two sisters: Patricia Miller and Sharon Block; three grandchildren: Christopher Dachel, Catrina Rose Dachel and Rhonda Nordby; and three great-grandchildren.
When you met our mom, you and everyone you know, were cared about and prayed for over and over. If you were added to the "calendar" you became a forever memory! "Resting in Peace" is not in her makeup – now she is able to help many more people with no boundaries – Look out!
Memories of working as a NWSF carny, summers at the trailer, "working" to make sure bowling, bingo and card games were scored correctly, watching her sons bowl and play ball, pride shown in her grandchildren, becoming an extended member of the family through her years of providing childcare, and creating home-made gifts just touch the surface of things people will remember! And everyone will miss her hugs and kisses, Love ya Mom!
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2024 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Jesse Burish will be Celebrant of the funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024 and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their most heartfelt thanks to Our House Senior Living, St. Croix Hospice, Mayo Clinic staff, Lakeland Home Healthcare and Horan Funeral Home.
