Neva I. Webb

Neva I. Webb, age 89, of Elmwood, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.

Neva was born March 25, 1915, near Woodville in St. Croix County, the daughter of Sigaurd and Anna Himo. Neva received her elementary and high school education in Woodville, graduating from high school in 1923. She worked at her parents' business until she married Gerald Webb. After marriage, they moved to the Hatchville area where they farmed until Gerald's death. After her husband's death, Neva purchased a condominium in Menomonie, where she resided until becoming a resident of the Heritage of Elmwood in 2000.

Neva was a former member of the Spring Valley Masonic Lodge. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elmwood. Neva enjoyed traveling. She made several trips to Hawaii and Europe. Her most memorable trip was a cruise to the Panama Canal. She will be sadly missed by her niece and grandniece as well as a host of friends.

Neva is survived by a niece, Shirley (Ralph) Kleinhans of Fond du Lac; a grandniece, Shelly (Jim) Binner of Oshkosh; a great-great-niece and nephew; and other relatives and friends.

Her parents, her husband, Gerald, and a sister, Effie Schlumpf, precede her in death.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at the United Methodist Church in Elmwood with the Rev. Charles DeMaris officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Woodville.
