Robert J. "Bob" Brantner, age 43, of Mondovi, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Mondovi.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1964, in Durand to Lavern Sr. and June (Knutson) Brantner. Bob was a 1982 graduate of Mondovi High School. He was employed as a graphic designer at Powertex in Eau Claire and was a full-time caregiver for his mother.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Mondovi.
Bob enjoyed carpentry, singing and fishing and he loved cars. He was loved by everyone and was very giving to everyone. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle. Bob loved spending time with his niece, Erica, and nephew, Tanner.
He is survived by his mother, June Brantner of Mondovi; four brothers, Dennis Brantner of Kenosha, Lavern (Diane) Brantner Jr. of Chetek, Michael (Ellen) Brantner of Nelson, and Alan (Robynn) Brantner of Whitehall; three sisters, Peggy (Randy) Schutz of Boyceville, Linda (Scott) Davis of Mondovi, and Diann (Rick) Franson of Mondovi; special nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, Erica (Ken) Larson, Tanner Franson, David Brantner, and Kennedy, Maddex and Liam Larson; additional nieces and nephews and other relatives; and special friends, Jackie and Joel Miller-Oates and Nola Bauer.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Lavern; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Agnes Knutson; paternal grandparents, Frank and Emma Brantner; and a nephew, Jared Schutz.
Memorial services were held Saturday, June 9, 2007, at the Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
