Robert Piotrowski Obituary
Robert J. Piotrowski, 93, of 908 Superior St., Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at Comforts of Home in Chippewa Falls.
He was born Feb. 16, 1920 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Louis and Annette (LeTourneau) Piotrowski.
A graduate of McDonell Central High School in 1938 and St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn., in 1942, he also served in the U.S. Army from 1942-46. He was employed by Equifax for 36 years.
On June 24, 1950, he married Jean Gharrity at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.
He was an active member of St. Charles Church as a lector, usher, reader and choir member. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974. Bob was a driver for Mobile Meals, and loved his over-33 tennis league and Monday and Wednesday night golf leagues and was a charter member of the Old Goats Club.
Bob is survived by: two daughters, Ann and Jane Piotrowski both of St. Paul, Minn.; one son, Robert Piotrowski of Lakeland, Minn.; nephew Bill Piotrowski; nieces Jean Fink and Mary Piotrowski; sister-in-law Mary Lou Gharrity; and very special friend Winnie.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Jean, in 1994; his parents; one brother, Edmund Piotrowski; one sister-in-law, Octavia; and two brothers-in-law, Robert and William Gharrity.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 28 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Monday, Oct. 28 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.

Bob was a true pillar of St. Charles Parish. I remember him as a lector and as a regular at daily Mass for so many years. I extend my condolences to the Piotrowski family. I celebrated a Mass for Bob at the Mayo Clinic Health System - Franciscan Healthcare St. Francis Chapel here in La Crosse last Sunday.
