Scott Hanson Obituary

Scott T. Hanson of Goodlettsville, Tennessee born on March 2, 1949, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa, Wisconsin, passed away on January 18, 2026 following a short, courageous battle with cancer and heart disease. Scott was the son of C.A. "Cal" Hanson and Lucille "Sis" Hanson. He attended Chestnut Grade School, Chippewa Falls Junior High and Chi-Hi in the class of 1967. Scott enjoyed various sports but truly excelled at golf. He was primarily self-taught with his father, Cal, providing the basics of the game. Following graduation, Scott enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Because of a basic training accident, he was medically discharged. Scott's career in the hospitality industry took him from Eau Claire to Florida, California, Arizona and retiring in the greater Nashville, Tennessee area. Scott is survived by Maria Willett, the mother of his beloved daughter Tania Hanson of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, his brother Joe (Leila), step-son Jeff and step-grandson Tyler, and family and many friends. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Cal and Sis Hanson, grandparents Vida and Archie Tuttle and Gertrude and Norman Hanson. A celebration of life and burial will be held at a later date in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

He was one of a kind. Fun, a dreamer, and storyteller. Along with Maria, he helped care for their daughter Tania. l'm very glad I was able to visit with him recently. He left us with many funny memories that will keep us smiling. God's peace as hearts heal. Sandy
