Steven Winger, 64, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2016.
Born Sept. 9, 1952, in Eau Claire to Dale and Marcia Ann (Williams) Winger.
Steve had an Associates degree in criminal justice and once worked as a security guard for Cray Research for 13 years. He was an intelligent man and voracious reader who shared his love of books with his daughter. He also loved camping and canoeing, which his son loves just as much. He was also a historian in his own right.
He is survived by his parents, Dale and Marcia Winger; sister, Kathy Winger; children, Terry Winger and Nycole (Winger) Kaprelian; grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor, Justus, Cindel, and Shurell; many friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Irma Williams; and brothers, Ken Winger, Jerry Winger, and Tom Winger.
A small memorial will be 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at his daughter's house. If interested in attending please contact Nancy at 715-829-2681.
