Thomas W. Enderson
July 19, 1933 - January 11, 2025
JIM FALLS -Thomas W. Enderson, 91 of Jim Falls, Wis., died on January 11, 2025, after a brief hospitalization. During this time of hospitalization, it allowed all his children and grandchildren living in the area time to say their last goodbye and for him to acknowledge each one with his beautiful smiling Irish eyes.
Tom was born to Reuben and Rosemary (McDermott) Enderson on July 19, 1933. His early years of life were spent in Rochester as the son of the chauffeur for Dr. W.J. Mayo at the Foundation House. This was an exciting time of his life, one with which he had lots of memories and stories he always shared with his family. Thomas joined the Navy after graduating from high school and served on a mine sweeper in the Korean War.
Following his departure from the Navy, on August 2, 1958, Tom married Beverly L. Schuchard of Elgin, Minn., the love of his life. They were married for 62 years and together had three children, Pamela (Jeff) Riebe, Laurie (Craig) Marshall, Mike (Mary) Enderson; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Tom's job as a Steamfitter took them to many locations before they bought their first home on the Chippewa River in Jim Falls. Eight years later, they moved to their beloved hobby farm that allowed him to pursue his impressive gasoline engine collection, especially the Bloomer made Keller Engine.
In April of 2020, at the beginning of COVID, his beloved wife died (although not due to it). Tom spent the remaining five years mourning her passing and reminiscing of the days gone by with all who came to see him. He was also known to venture out to see others. And if you were in his circle of interest, we are so grateful to all of you for his visits, which he loved.
Though unable to do what he once was able to, it was still amazing the things that he managed to take apart and put back together. His goal of staying in his home with his faithful, beloved dog, Sammie, was kept, and although his gait was incredibly difficult, he still kept going.
He did not leave this world alone but left with the love of his family at his side and will be forever missed.
