Sandy Heyl Obituary
EDENTON - Sandra Jean Heyl, 82, passed away on October 14, 2025, in Elizabeth City, NC. Born on March 23, 1943, Sandra was a devout member of Edenton United Methodist Church.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bette (MacDonald) Lockard; her brother, James Lockard; and her husband, Robert Heyl. She is survived by her brother, Robert Lockard (Charlynn); her stepsons, Robert Heyl (Jan), Gregory Heyl, and David Heyl (Beth); her daughter, Ruth Carrell (Mike); her son, Christopher Heyl (Erin); and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Sandra was dedicated to serving her community, particularly through her volunteer work at her church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Edenton United Methodist Church at a later date. Sandra's life of service and devotion to her family, friends and faith will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
