RONALD HUNT

RONALD (RON) E. HUNT  Ronald (Ron) E. Hunt, 61, of Penn Yan passed away unexpectedly August 20, 2024, with his brother and sister by his side.  Ron graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1981, finishing his education at the top of his class from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. While in Philadelphia he made additional lifelong friends to add to those friendships established while growing up in Penn Yan. He also worked as an illustrator during his time there.  Ron was predeceased by his parents Elywn R. and Beverly L. Hunt; and brother-in-law, David.  Ron was an integral part of his family. Helpful, thoughtful, appreciative, kind, always extending a helping hand on the two century old family farm.  He cherished the holidays while enjoying his family and great friends. He was extraordinarily dedicated to his parents. He went above and beyond expectations. And was cheerful all the way. Whenever Ron had a challenge, he faced it head on and managed it without a complaint.  His many hobbies included illustrating, music, reading, and cooking.  Ron is survived by and is dearly missed by his brother Russell and sister Nancy, many cousins, and many many great friends that are scattered from Penn Yan to the West Coast. All of his survivors will always remember his good nature, dry humor, and being an overall great guy.  We all will miss him.  Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
