THOMAS OLNEY THURMON Thomas Olney Thurmon, 81, of Branchport, N.Y., passed away on January 25, 2024, after a short illness with his beloved life partner, Margaret Wiles by his side. Tom was born in Rochester, N.Y., on January 29, 1942, the son of the late Walter and Isabelle Olney Thurmon. He retired from National Safety Associates of Memphis, Tennessee in 1983 where he was the Director of Conventions and Communications for 25 years. Tom was an avid fan of music, food and wine and living life to the fullest. Tom is survived by Margaret Wiles and her family, Kate and Ken Smith of Clermont, Fla., Pam and Joe Schoener and their children Katie and Mike Perkins, Thomas and Olivia Schoener; and three nieces all of Skaneateles, N.Y., Michele and Greg Pratt of Buffalo, N.Y. and their children Brendan and Lydia; and many wonderful friends.
