Constance "Connie" Marie Arrick, 78, Converse, passed away at 11:30 pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in her home. She was born in Elwood, Indiana, on Saturday, June 15, 1946, to Robert E. and Nineth B. (Sagarsee) Merida. On June 5, 1971, she married Jerry L. Arrick, and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2017.
Connie graduated from Wendell L. Wilkie High School in 1964 and graduated from Indiana Business College in 1996. She was a teacher's aide for many years with Oak Hill School Corporation. She was a member of the Light City Mopar Club in Wabash and loved shopping. Connie devoted her life to taking care of her daughter, Julianne.
Survivors include her son, James "Jamey" R. Arrick of Noblesville; daughter, Julianne M. Arrick of Kokomo; step-daughters, Shawn Lee Robertson of Burlington and Cescily Ann Barnard of Kokomo; brother, Bob (Carol) Merida of Venice, FL; sister, Sue (Paul) Smith of Venice, FL; sisters-in-law, Nancy Arrick and Jean Sample, both of Converse; several nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Merida; mother, Nineth B. Merida; sister, Dixie Bennett; and brother-in-law, Larry Arrick.
The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral and Cremation Service, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, a service to celebrate Connie's life will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Matthew Trexler will be officiating with burial following at Converse Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Cancer Services of Grant County, Tower Suites, 305 S. Norton Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
