Edward W. Long, age 78, of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 12:25 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie.
Born on December 31, 1946, in Marion, Edward was the son of Edward W. and Della M. (Fanning) Long. He was a proud graduate of Mississinewa High School, Class of 1964, and went on to attend Purdue University and Tri-State College.
Edward honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968, achieving the rank of Corporal. After his military service, he dedicated his career to Tulox Plastics, where he worked as a production manager until his retirement.
On July 11, 1970, Edward married Linda Terry, who survives. He is also survived by his son, Aaron Long, both of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Evelyn Luck.
In accordance with Edward's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Marion National Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
