Evangeline Hope Duvall, 89, of Marion, went to be with the Lord at 12:51 am on Friday, March 14, 2025, in her home. She was born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, on November 15, 1935, to George and Audra (Warner) Nofsinger. On August 16, 1958, she married Marion Duvall.
Evangeline graduated from Miltonvale High School and attended Marion College. She worked as a Landscape Designer for many years with Greenway Garden Center, Cunningham Garden Center, and Conns Garden Center. She also worked at the Wesleyan Church Publishing House, and she volunteered at Heart to Heart Hospice and in the mail room at Indiana Wesleyan University. Evangeline was a member of Brookhaven Wesleyan Church for 63 years.
Evangeline enjoyed gardening, singing at church, reading, and art, especially oil painting. She loved to embroider and loved to cook for people. She dearly enjoyed having friends and family over.
Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Marion Duvall of Marion; daughters, Sandra A. (Rev. Dan) Metz of Mount Union, PA, and Nanette (Charles) Sinclair of Marion; grandsons, Aaron (Casey) Duvall, Michael (Dijana) Duvall, Rev. Nathan (Jade) Metz, Luke (Katie) Metz, Micah (Maggie) Metz, and David Sinclair; granddaughters, Jenifer Meyer and Carmen (Stephen) Stoffel; 21 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joan (Everett) Palmer and Ruth (George) Sodon.
She was preceded in death by her father, George L. Nofsinger; mother, Audra O. Nofsinger; sister, Faith G. Nofsinger; brother, Duane Nofsinger; and son, Glenn E. Duvall.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Brookhaven Wesleyan Church, 2960 E. 38th St., Marion, IN 46953.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Evangeline's life will begin at 11:30 am with Pastor Tony Bye officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Brookhaven Wesleyan Church, 2960 E. 38th St., Marion, IN 46953 or Indiana Wesleyan University, 4201 S. Washington St., Marion, IN 46953.

Love and prayers for the entire family. We have known Vangie and Marion for many many years. I especially enjoyed watching them come to IWU basketball games and cheer for the Wildcats. A great Christian lady!
