Frederick A. "Fred" Hoffman, 69, of Hartford City, died Saturday at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Fred was well known at his job, with UPS and was the founder of the Blackford Youth Soccer League. He also served on the school board.
Survived by wife: Sonya (Walter); children, Nick, Aaron and Katrina; 6 grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Mass of Christian burial: 11:00 a.m. Thursday (3/28) in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hartford City.
Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 at the church, Thursday and from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City.
