George Chunn Obituary

George D. Chunn, born on May 5, 1933, in Converse, Indiana, passed away on September 22, 2025, in Akron, Indiana. He led a fulfilling life characterized by his deep love for family and friends, as well as his many interests. George served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, showcasing his dedication to service.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed engaging in a variety of hobbies, including fishing, riding around on his golf cart, and playing guitar. He shared his musical talents with others by playing music at nursing homes, bringing joy to many.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Chunn. George is also preceded in death by his son, Donald Chunn; his daughter, Linda Chunn; and his siblings, Norman Chunn, Douglas Edwards, and Margaret Edwards.

A visitation will be held for George on September 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, IN 46952. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. George D. Chunn will be remembered for his kind spirit and his commitment to those he loved. His presence will be dearly missed.
