Kathy J. Reece, 63, passed away on Dec. 30, 2021 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born on July 3, 1958 in Marion to the late Richard and Norma "Darlene"(Sharon) Goodman.
Kathy was a 1976 graduate of Marion High School and went on to work for the Chronicle-Tribune in various positions until her retirement. She always brought a smile to every room and her friends and family were the beneficiary of her dedication and nurturing way. In her free time Kathy enjoyed music and her beagle babies but especially enjoyed the BINGO circuit and made her rounds at Round Robbins, Eagles and at the 4-H Fair bingo nights. She married Mark A. Reece on May 13, 1993 and he survives.
She is survived by her children, Ashley (Charles) Teegarden and Heather (Steven) Owens, both of Upland; Destry Stump, Katherine Stump and Stephanie (Ron) Stump, all of Marion; uncle, David (Betty) Goodman, Noblesville; several cousins.
She is also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Goodman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5pm-7pm. The funeral service will begin at 7pm with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana.
