Marie A. Lindquist, 99, passed away in Colonial Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation, Marion on April 24, 2024. She was born in Illmo, Missouri on March 7, 1925 to the late Oscar and Ellen (Watts) Roth.
She moved to Seymour, Indiana when she was sixteen years old and later the family moved to Marion where she graduated from High School. She married Frank Nils Lindquist in June, 1984 and he preceded her in death in 2014. Marie was a beautician and served clients for well over 50 years retiring when she was 90. In her free time she enjoyed playing Bingo and euchre, crocheting, making quilts, vegetable gardening and canning the bounty from her efforts. She was a great cook, especially her delicious cherry pies. To know Marie was to love her because of her unique and wonderful personality.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Sharon) Roth, Port Orange, Florida; Larry Trueblood, Seymour; sister, Norma Cottingham, Seymour; grandchildren, Lynn Roth, Patrick Roth, Neda (Ned) Neubauer, all of Marion; step-grandchild, Elizabeth (Gary) Gutierrez; great-grandchildren, Jordan (Ronald) Wilson; Brentey (John) Neubauer Perry; Brody Crosby; Gracie (Max) Lima; Ellie Neubauer; eight great-great-grandchildren.
Marie is also preceded in death by her brother, Benny Roth; sisters, Margaret Roth, Mildred Snyder and Melba Blocker.
Visitation will be held from 10am-noon on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Owen-Weilert-Duncan, Gas City Chapel, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City. The service will begin at noon with Wayne Miller officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Grant Memorial Park, Marion. Online condolences may be made at www. owenweilertduncan.com.

My sincere condoles to Marie's family. I truly enjoyed, being her caregiver at Colonial Oaks. I have known Marie since I was little, we were neighbors, when I was growing up, before I was 10 years old. Miss Marie was a beautiful women, I a joy to be around
