Michael A. Kuehner, age 72 of Marion passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Marion Health, Marion, Indiana.
Michael was born on Jan. 10, 1950 in Heidelberg, Germany the son of the late Rudolf Kuehner and Brigitte (Nadolny) Kuehner. He married Caroline Porter on May 25, 1969 and she survives.
Michael worked at General Motors in Marion until his retirement. He was a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge #711; the Sheriff's Reserves, and was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. Michael enjoyed woodworking, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline Kuehner of Marion; a son, Derek (Alicia) Kuehner of Opp, Alabama; sister-in-law, Sandra Kuehner of Michigan; and 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Hans J. Kuehner.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Servant Community Church, 1533 E. 37th Street, Marion, Indiana. Masonic Services will be held at 10:45 a.m., with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Darrell Smith officiating.

I met Mike when he became a reserve deputy with the Grant County Sheriff's Department. He was dedicated to his work, family and he was a good friend. He was a man of character and had a servants heart. He will be missed.
