Phyllis Jean Nestleroad Elkins, age 85 of Murphy, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 29, 2022.
Phyllis was born in Marion, Indiana to the late John Calvin Nestleroad and Helen Tiner Sailors. She was a hotel manager and innkeeper. She loved working, traveling by car and enjoyed fishing. Phyllis had a great love for all of her grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years, Paul Eugene Harris; her second husband of 38 years, Marvin Elkins; a son Tony J. Harris; daughter Pamela Diann Harris; brothers Johnny Nestleroad and Clifford Nestleroad.
Phyllis is survived by her sons Terry Eugene Harris and wife Sherree and Gary Harris and wife Debbie; daughters Tina Marie Deihl and husband Richard and Paula Doss; step children, Kim Jackson and husband Bob, Bruce Elkins and Paige McClure; her brothers Calvin Nestleroad and wife Bonnie and Rex Nestleroad and wife Ruthanna; and a sister Helen Combs; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Aud Brown will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12pm – 1pm prior to the memorial service.
