Robert S. "Bob" Riddle

1940 - 2023

Robert "Bob" S. Riddle, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, in Lawrenceville, GA, surrounded by family.

Bob was born on December 12, 1940, in Owingsville, KY, to the late Henry and Laura (Sorrell) Riddle. He served in the U.S. Army. On December 18, 1976, Bob and Joyce (Plank) were united in marriage. They moved to Fairmount in 2001. Joyce preceded him in death on November 30, 2022. Bob worked as a Security Supervisor at Securitas and also at Exxex for 28 years as a millwright. He was a member of the Faith Apostolic Church in Marion.

Bob's little piece of heaven on earth was his two-acre plot of ground in Fairmount where he loved working in and clearing the woods. He loved his family and his dogs. Bob enjoyed watching wrestling, Western movies, reading books, and keeping up with everyone through Facebook. He was a caring, laid-back, and gentle man. Bob would do anything for anyone and he will be missed.

Bob is survived by children, Mary Ann Maas, NC; Jeff Riddle, IN; and Deanna Riddle, IN; step-children, Barbara Wilson, IN; Brian Nelson, KY, and Gene Nelson, IN; grandchildren, Amber Blake, Amber Gray, Victoria Riddle, Michelle Cora, Jimmy Moore, Michael Underwood, and Tisha Watkins and many other grandkids and great grandkids that he loved and adored.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Gary Riddle, and grandson, Joey Marshall.

Arrangements for Bob have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where services will be on Saturday, November 25, 2023, the family will have a visitation from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M., with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Clarence Hand officiating.

Entombment will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
