Robert William "Bill" Shull I.

Robert William "Bill" Shull I, 66, of Upland, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Born November 28, 1959, in Marion, Indiana, Bill was the son of the late Samuel Shull, Sr. and Wilma (Shockey) Shull. He was a 1980 graduate of Eastbrook High School. Bill retired from Peyton Northern in Bluffton and had previously worked for Weaver Popcorn in Van Buren.

On July 18, 1981, he married Lou Ann Dodds. Though they later divorced in 2014, they remained close friends throughout his life. Bill was a devoted father who took great pride in providing for his children and spending quality time with them. Together they created many memories at concerts, theme parks, and family outings.

A true rock-and-roller at heart, Bill loved Christmas, camping, watching westerns, and riding his Harley. Gifted with mechanical talent, he could rebuild nearly any motor and was often known as a "street mechanic." His work ethic, independence, and loyalty to the Indianapolis Colts were trademarks of who he was.

Bill is survived by his children, Rae Ann (Jeramie) Simon and Robert W. "Bub" Shull II; and siblings, Wilma (John) Jacobs and Jennifer Luckey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Samuel Shull Jr. and Harry "Bud" Shull; sister, Lycrecia Shull; and lifelong friend, Mark Elliott.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana, with Pastor David Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Jefferson Cemetery in Upland.
