Ronald "Ron" Ray Stahl, Jr., 61, of Sweetser, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 23, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born on December 16, 1960, to Nancy Stahl and the late Ronald Stahl, Sr., in South Amboy, New Jersey.
Ron proudly served as a submariner in the U.S. Navy on the USS John C. Calhoun as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. Following his move to Indiana in the 1980s, he spent the past 30+ years as property manager and maintenance supervisor for Maidenberg Associates and Pioneer Packaging.
When Ron wasn't fixing things at work, he was always fixing things for friends and family. Everyone knew he could fix anything. His "man cave" was known to all as RonMart. If you needed tools, hardware, or advice on fixing something, RonMart was the place to go. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, grilling, spending time on his beloved Harley, and spending time with his Thirsty Monday and Thirsty Thursday crews.
Ron is survived by his wife, Sherrie; daughters, Kristi (Tyler) Burns and Heather Diskey; son, Justin (Brittnea) Short; grandsons, Addeson Short, Asher Brown, and Laeton Short; his loving dog, Jerzey; mother, Nancy Stahl; sister, Kathy (John) Mason; brother Kenny (Cheryl) Stahl; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ruthi Tine; brother, John Stahl; and his beloved grandparents.
Per Ron's request, there will be no services. To honor his wishes, an outdoor party will be held later this year.
