Theodore Atkins Obituary

Theodore Z. Atkins, fondly known as Zack, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born on June 18, 1938, in New Albany, Indiana, Zack was the oldest child of Jacob and Leona (Winskoski) Atkins.

A graduate of Marion High School, Zack dedicated his professional life to the United States Postal Service, where he enjoyed a long and fulfilling career before retiring.

Zack found happiness in everyday moments. He loved grocery shopping, maintaining his pristine yard, and keeping his pool spotless. Above all, Zack's greatest love and source of pride was his family. He cherished his wife of nearly 60 years, Suzanne (Dalton) Atkins.

Zack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne, and his son, Theodore (Lynn) Atkins of Port Charlotte, Florida.

Zack is lovingly remembered by his children, Robert (Karyn) Atkins of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Kristin (Mark) Cuilla of Clayton, North Carolina, and by his daughter-in-law, Lynn Atkins. He was a proud grandfather to Alexi (Chas) Neal, Meredith (Ethan) Culberson, Logan (Nicole) Cuilla, Chase Cuilla, and Riley Cuilla.

A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have shared their condolences and memories of Zack. Arrangements are entrusted to Unity Funeral Home.
