Alan Landrum Obituary

Alan Lawrence Landrum, 66, of Paeonian Springs, Va., slipped away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2012, in the care of Hospice and with family at his side. The middle son of J.T. Landrum and Martha Dean Lowrey Landrum, Al was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Dean Stuart Landrum. Survived by his wife Camille Landrum; brother, Michael L. Landrum (Brenda); and nieces and nephews.
Alan was employed as a chief inspector for Parsons/Brinckerhoff, an international construction management firm. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.
There will be a memorial service for Alan at Arlington National Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evercare Hospice, 12018 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191 or a charity of your choosing. Please send condolences to www.colonialfuneralhome.com.

I have known Alan for over 25 years and in that time have felt like I had an older brother to help me along with good advice. We had worked togather during most of that time and had helped me through many hurdles. We also maintained a good freindship outside of work and I will miss him very much. His memory will live through the rest of my life.
