In the loving memory of Mr. Albert William "Bill" Clutter Jr. Bill passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Crystal River, FL, at the age of 74. Born on January 23, 1950, in Wilmette, IL. He was the son of Albert and Marjorie (Kresge) Clutter.
As a USMC veteran, 2nd BN 4th Marines 1st Marine Division, Bill exemplified honor and faithfulness during his service in the Vietnam War, where he was wounded in the line of duty and awarded the Purple Heart for his valor. Following his military service, Bill dedicated himself to helping fellow veterans as a National Service Officer for the Disabled American Veterans. He retired to Homosassa, Florida from Chicago 30 years ago.
Bill loved his dogs Buddy and Roxy. He loved The Beatles, fishing and hunting. He was a lifetime member of DAV, member of the VFW Post 8189, Homosassa, FL, American Legion Post #155, Crystal River, FL, and the Aaron Weaver 776 Military Order of the Purple Heart. Mr. Clutter was preceded in death by father, Albert William Clutter, Sr. and mother, Marjorie Clutter. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Linda M. Clutter of Homosassa, FL, 4 daughters, Jeannine Clutter of Tampa, FL, Lois (Donald) Brooks of Saint Petersburg, FL, Barbara (Scott) Trimarchi of Stafford, VA, and Billilyn (Gary) Long of Palm Harbor, FL, brother, Robert Clutter of GA, sisters, Marjorie (Wayne) Boettger of Gilbert, AZ, Phyllis Jean Lewis of Holiday, FL, and Catherine Edwards of Weyers Cave, VA, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00am Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Homosassa Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 9:00 am. Bill will be laid to rest and military honors will be accorded to him at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2024.
Friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Citrus County Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.HooperFuneralHome.com. Arrangements by the Homosassa Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
