Alma M. Nibling, 92, of Floral City, FL., passed away November 4, 2021, at the Marliere Hospice House in New Port Richey, FL. Alma was born in Akron, Ohio on May 29, 1929, to the late Chester and Mary Catherine (Mulhair) Udell. On January 3, 1946, Alma married the love of her life, Cecil Nibling, with whom she shared 70 years of marriage. For years Alma enjoyed life as a homemaker, one who had several exceptional talents including professional cake decorating & catering, seamstress, and artistic painting, with reverse glass painting her specialty. Later Alma began working in the medical field as a physician assistant. In 1990, Alma and Cecil moved from Akron, Ohio to Floral City, Florida. Alma continued working as a physician assistant until retiring; she continued painting and also took up card-making. Alma attended New Testament Baptist Church in Floral City during her time in Florida. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sandra Meyers and husband, David, of Akron, OH; and Carolyn Pennell of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren: Scott Meyers, Brian Meyers, and Jennifer Pennell; and great grandchild, Jennifer Meyers. In addition to her husband Cecil, she was preceded in death by her sons, Bruce Nibling in January 2002, John Nibling in September 2021; and her four siblings: Anita Miller, Ellanore Bilich, Gerald Udell and Elmer Udell. Alma will be interred with her husband at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH. Private cremation with care is provided by the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
