Carol Ann Plummer, 73, of Homosassa, FL, beloved wife and Mom, went home to be with the Lord on Thurs., Dec. 7, 2023. A native of Williamson, W. Va. She was born Sept. 9, 1950 to John and Betty (Smith) Gugelchuk.
Carol was a 1968 graduate of Belfry High School in Belfry, KY and obtained her LPN Nursing License at Northern Kentucky University, leading her into a long career in nursing. A lifelong Christian, Mrs. Plummer was a member of First Baptist Church of Homosassa.
Most of all, she loved spending as much time as possible visiting with and spoiling her grandchildren. Carol loved traveling and especially loved tent camping during her life.
Along with her beloved husband of 57 years, Donald, she once traveled the entire perimeter of the continental United States, a distance of over 8,000 miles. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Renae Maxwell.
In addition to her husband Donald of Homosassa, she is survived by her son Brock Plummer (wife Kimberly) of Villa Hills, KY; granddaughter Ashley Dawn Plummer, Everett, WA; grandsons Wyatt B. Plummer, Newport, KY; Chase B. Plummer, Villa Hills, KY; Jacob B. Plummer with the United States Marine Corps, Camp Lejeune, NC and Levi B. Plummer, Villa Hills, KY.
Friends will be received at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home on Mon., Dec. 18, 2023 from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 noon, when a Celebration Of Life will commence at 12:00 noon with Pastor David Throckmorton of First Baptist Church of Homosassa officiating.
Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at 2:00 P.M. www.macrini-wilder funeral.com

Carol Ann was a wonderful person. She and I were friends from childhood. Her dad and my mother were brother and sister. I loved her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I will cherish her memory.
