Catherine "Bunny" Ward
1941 - 2021
Catherine "Bunny" Ward, 80, of San Antonio Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the care of Vitas Hospice on November 17, 2021.
Catherine was born on September 11,1941 in Staten Island, New York. When Catherine and her family moved to Citrus County, Catherine enjoyed life raising her children and working as a bus driver with Citrus County Schools, Deli Clerk at Publix and worked for the Citrus County Chronicle.
In December 2017 she moved to San Antonio, Texas to live with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by parents Morten and Catherine "Kay" Christiansen, her twin sister Eileen Scherb, son Tommy Ward.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Carolyn Hoffmeister, of San Antonio TX; Linda Fritz and husband Ric Fritz of Citrus Springs, FL; and Kathleen Leigh, of Brooker FL; grandchildren John Hoffmeister, Brooke Hoffmeister, Hunter Fritz, Kyle Fritz. Benedetto Cannon, Eric Leigh, Shannon Leigh, Kelly Kennedy , and two great grandchildren.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We know that Brooke´s grandmother will be dearly missed! I will always remember how quickly she ran across the room and her simple joy of her police dramas Sending her whole family hugs from Wisconsin! We love y´all so much!

To a sweet lady who had spunk, nothing would tear her down, even with cancer she gave it battle but ultimately it won. Prayers to her family that going through at time! Sorry your loss! R.I.P Bunny!
