Charles Thomas "Tom" Ryals, 74, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, surrounded by his family who loved him deeply.
He was Charles to those who never met him; Tom to his friends; Dad to his loving daughter; Tommy to his devoted stepchildren and family; Papa Tom to his grandsons; and Honey Bunny to his loving wife of 30 years, who was by his side until the very end.
Born on July 15, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Caroline and Billy Ryals, Tom was the second of four children. His early years in Jacksonville and Palm Valley shaped his lifelong love for the water, surfing, the outdoors and revealed the grit, humor, and entrepreneurial spirit that would define his life.
Tom began his career as a Realtor in Jacksonville before moving to Homosassa, where he built two thriving businesses from the ground up: MH Services of Citrus, Inc., a mobile home delivery and setup company, and later, Impressive Home Builders, a modular home dealership. Through hard work, honesty, and an unshakable commitment to his word, Tom earned the respect and loyalty of countless customers, colleagues, and friends.
A man of many passions, Tom devoted his life to his family, friends, fishing, hunting, grilling, and the businesses he poured his heart into. He'll be remembered as a loving husband and father, a proud Papa Tom, a loyal friend, a witty storyteller, and a man who could make anyone laugh with his sharp sarcasm and playful humor. To know him was to love him and to be loved by him was a gift beyond measure.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary Ryals; his children, Amy Ryals, Lauren "Ren" Coy, Nicole "Nikki" Coy, Jeanne Heitt, and Michael Coy; his brother, Bill Ryals; his sisters, Janice Winters and Kathy Walker; and many extended family members and lifelong friends who will cherish his memory forever. He was preceded in death by his parents, Caroline and Billy Ryals.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tom's honor on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at:
