Daniel L. Howerton, 54, Floral City, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Citrus Memorial hospital. A native of Bud, West Virginia, he was born September 23, 1954, to James Sr. and Elsie (Lambert) Howerton and came to this area in 1983 from Eccles, W.V. Dan was employed as a laborer with a water company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler and his Harley Davidson. Dan was Pentecostal by faith. His survivors include his wife of 33 years, Lori Howerton, Floral City; his Mother, Elsie Burnett, Eccles, W.V.; three brothers, James, Wayne and wife Kathy and Robert and wife Jean Howerton, all of Eccles, W.V.; three sisters, Linda and husband Okie Wyatt, Hotchkiss, WV, Sue and husband Chester Farley, Lester, W.V. and Gay and husband Michael Tessaro, Eccles, W.V., Mother and Father-in-Law: John and June Leedock, Floral City, FL; Sister-in-Law, June A. Nestlerode, Tunkhannock, PA and Brother-in-Law, John Leedock, Floral City, Nephew: Nicholas Borozan, Floral City and great-niece and great-nephew Alexia and Nicholas Borozan, Floral City. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Howerton, Sr. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of private cremation arrangements.
