The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Dolores "Dolly" Korzeniewski, age 97 years, of Inverness, will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City.
Mrs. Korzeniewski was born August 14, 1928 in Pittston, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Catherine Lukus. She attended Catholic school in Pittston. Dolly worked at a silk mill factory and moved to Florida in the 1990's. She was the best pastry chef in Pennsylvania with her Christmas nut roll. Dolly loved to laugh, dance, and play bingo. She filled her days in Inverness with Slovak cooking and her treasured arts and crafts work. Dolly took care of her home well into her senior years and drove herself everywhere while making many, many good friends.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate 12 person family. She lost her oldest brother, Mickey, at Anzio, Italy and her brother-in-law, John, in the Battle of the Bulge. All of her brothers served in WWII. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.
