Edna Vallecillo Obituary
Edna was a resident of Beverly Hills for over 20 years where she has lived since moving from New York. She enjoyed reading, playing games, and her morning prayers - but most of all spending time with her friends and loved ones. She was an incredible woman who had an impact on everyone she has ever touched. Edna was a loving mother and friend to many in the community. She was an active member of the Central Citrus Community Center, where she spent time volunteering and enjoying the company of many of her dearest friends. To her, the Central Citrus Community Center was a second family. Her friends and family loved and appreciated her honesty, friendship, loyalty, and support. She created bonds that will last an eternity as they will never forget her. To her son she was more than just a mother. She was not only a provider, teacher, and mentor, but also was the truest friend a son could have.
Many of us will use the saying "Heaven has gained another angel" throughout our lifetimes, without giving thought to what it means. However, with her passing, this saying could not be more accurate. Edna was already an angel. Although her time on Earth is complete, those that knew her know she will always be watching out for those she loved.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 5430 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto. A Service to celebrate Edna's life will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory located at 5430 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Central Citrus Community Center with checks payable to the Citrus County BOCC. Edna, you are often thought of with silove and gratitude. You were a wonderful friend/Angel to our father, Ted Lewandowski. You would never let us repay you in any way. Edna, we will never be able to thank you for watching over our Dad. You were his, and our, guardian angel. You meant the world to him and I'm sure he was one of the first to greet you in Heaven. You will always remain in our hearts as our Special Angel. It's another very sad day for Beverly Hills and the wonderful friends from the Center. Rest in Peace sweet lady. My name is Nick and I am Edna's son. Our family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of kindness we have received. My mother loved you all. She was the most amazing woman that I've ever met. I love her and will miss her dearly. We hope those who can will attend the service.
