Eugene Bourquin Obituary

Eugene Jackie Bourquin, age 75, passed on peacefully September 6, 2011, at the Malcolm Randall Veteran's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
Jack was born in Winsted, CT, to Eugene H. and Marjorie E. (Kittredge) Bourquin on September 27, 1935, attended local schools and lived most of his life in Colebrook River and Winsted, where he had a Nationwide Insurance agency. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force (1958) and had retired to Dunnellon, Florida, in 1991, where he enjoyed his small farm and golfing with his friends.
Jack is survived by a son, Francis R. Bourquin, and his wife Rachael; twin daughters, Jamie O. Whitbread of Faltston, MD, and Joni E. LeViness of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Emma, Tonya, Everett and Emily; a sister, Geraldine B. Caplinger and her husband, Hal, of New Hartford, CT; a niece, Janell M. Lazzaro, her husband, Kyle, and their children, Erik and Matthew of Winsted; and a nephew, Ryan F. Dew, of Canaan, CT.
Jack will be sorrowfully missed for his love and wonderful sense of humor by those who shared his life, especially his loving life partner, Christine L. Gillette of Dunnellon, FL.
There are no services and internment will be at the convenience of the family in Colebrook, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Christine L. Gillette, who has established an educational fund for Jack's grandchildren, and mailed to her at 11225 Springvale Terrace, Dunnellon, FL 34433.
