Francis Vascimini

Francis M. Vascimini, 88, of Homosassa, FL passed away on September 21, 2017 under the loving care of his family at Sturgill Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Francis was born on September 28, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, son of Pasquale and Virginia Vascimini. He moved to Homosassa in 1998 from Brooklyn, NY, where he and his brothers, Pasquale and Annibale, were the owners of Vascimini Bros. in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn where they carried on their father's tradition of designing and making furniture. He was Catholic.
Francis was preceded in death by his brother Annibale Vascimini and sister Elizabeth Vascimini. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Aida Vascimini of Homosassa, FL; two sons, Frank Vascimini and wife Rita of Homosassa, FL and Michael Vascimini and wife Julia of Homosassa, FL; brother, Pasquale Vascimini of Monsey, NY; sister, Margaret Patti of Brooklyn, NY; and four grandchildren, Frankie Vascimini of Atlanta, GA, Anthony Vascimini, Angelina Vascimini and Michael Vascimini, all of Homosassa, FL.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Heinz Funeral Home with a vigil service beginning at 6:00. A funeral mass for Mr. Vascimini will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, FL.
