Frank Damone Churchwell was born on November 13, 1971, in Washington, D.C. to the late Samuel Vernon Churchwell and wife, the late Rossie Mae Atkins-Joyner. Shortly after his birth, his mother moved him and his sister to Holder Florida.
Frank received his early education through the Citrus County School system. Graduating from Lecanto High School, he excelled in the Jr ROTC program earning the rank of Sergeant Major. Frank attended Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach Florida, where he met the love of his life and married his wife of twenty-nine years, Nichole Simms on November 20, 1992. To this union three children were born: Frank II, Nichola and Symmora Churchwell. The couple moved to Tampa Florida in 1995 where Frank worked for Del American Property Management for twelve years before creating his own company; Churchwell Property Maintenance Inc. (CPM Services). Through his business Frank has made many friends in Tampa and the neighboring areas. He was appreciated and loved by many.
At an early age Frank gave his life to Christ. He joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Crystal River Florida. He served as Sunday School Secretary and was a member of the Youth Ministry and the Youth Usher Board. He became a member of St. Johns Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa, Florida in 2005 and was a member of the Male Choir.
Frank was an exceptionally hard-working man! He was a devoted husband and father. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, cooking and growing fruit and vegetables in his garden.
Preceding him in death: his birth father Samuel V. Churchwell, mother Rossie M. Atkins-Joyner and brother Cedric S. Joyner.

Wife: Nichole Churchwell, Son: Frank Damone Churchwell II (Ambre), Daughters: Nichola Churchwell and Symmora Churchwell; Father Douglas Joyner (Cynthia); Grandparents: Frank and Jewell Atkins, Samuel and Ethel Joyner; Siblings: Samantha Churchwell, Douglas Joyner Jr. (Rosana), Terrence Joyner, Shohn Joyner, Jerimee Joyner (Rebecca), Mother-in-law: Ruby Morris; Father-in-Law: Roderick Simms I (Gloria); Brother-in-Law: Roderick Simms II; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
The visitation for Mr. Frank Churchwell will be held at Aikens Funeral Home; 2708 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33610 on Friday, November 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and one hour 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the Homegoing service at Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2101 Lowe St, Tampa, FL 33605 on Saturday, November 27th, 2021. The family with travel back to Citrus County. Before the burial service, there will be a viewing in Holder, Fl, at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. We are following the CDC guidelines.

I know that even though you have a loss, you still have some great memories. I hope those memories will give you comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of sorrow. Please accept my most deepest condolences.
