A Memorial Service for Mr. Frankie E. Smith, Jr., age 68, of Hernando, Florida, will be held 5:30 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Interment will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.Hooper FuneralHome.com.
He was born October 2, 1957 in Bellaire, OH, son of Frankie and Doris (Mentz) Smith, Sr. He died November 27, 2025 in Hernando, FL. Frank lived a majority of his life in Citrus County but spent over 25 years in North Carolina. He was a mechanic by trade in the automotive industry for roughly 40 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, football, and Nascar racing. But most of all , he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frankie E. Smith, Sr. He is survived by mother, Doris Mae Smith of Hernando, FL, son, Christopher Lee Smith of Inverness, FL, son, Jeremy Smith, currently stationed in Guam and daughter, Jennifer Smith of Allen, TX, 3 brothers, Jamie Smith of Hernando, FL, Timmy Smith of Crystal River, FL, Mike Smith of Hernando, FL, sister, Marie Smith of Ocala, FL, 4 grandchildren, Christopher "CJ" Smith, Jr., Rebecca Smith, Everly Smith and Grace Berrios.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
