Gail L. (Bonis) Gilbertie, 76, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on August 31st, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Stephen J. and Muriel Grace (Norton) Bonis Jr. on January 6th, 1945, in Norwalk, Connecticut.
She married her beloved husband John, and together they made Citrus County their home after moving from Fairfield, CT. Gail was a very valued administrative assistant at Marketing Corporation of America, having been employed with the company for over twenty - five years.
Gail will be remembered as an ardent supporter of the local American Legion Post #155 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10087 Honor Guard to which she accompanied her husband throughout the years. She was an avid book reader, camper and enjoyed decorating her home. Gail always had an uncanny ability to take light from the most difficult of circumstances.
She will be proudly remembered as a pillar of strength through her cherished children and grandchildren. She was a generous, kind, caring and quick-witted soul who wore her heart on her sleeve. Those that knew her will fondly recollect her smile as her presence always radiated warmth and love wherever she went.
Gail was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her siblings, Stephen Bonis III, Gary Bonis, and Judith Varian, and by her brothers-in-law Charles Varian and Robert Letkowski.
Those left to cherish Gail's memory are many. They include her beloved husband of nearly thirty-five years, John J. Gibertie Jr.; her children, Craig Klepadlo (Nora) of Carolina, Puerto Rico, Kristin Beville (Harold) of Sauk Village, IL; her siblings, David Bonis and Ellen Letkowski; her grandchildren Nathaniel, Haleigh, Valerie, Bianca, and Kailyn; her many adored nieces and nephews, her sisters-in-law Judy Bonis and Lorraine (Raymond) Beaudin; and her ever-faithful four legged companion, Bandit.
A special thank you goes out on behalf of Gail's family to HPH Hospice Nurse, Sara who showed the utmost compassion and dedication during Gail's final days of life. She will be thought of fondly.
A Celebration of Life for Gail will be held at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.

Gail,Those special memories of you, will always bring a smile to my face. If only I could have you back, for just a little while, then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do. You always meant so very much to me, and always will. The fact that you are no longer here, will cause me so much pain, but you're forever in my heart my sweet sister. Until we meet again.

As a first cousin, I have had the privilege of knowing Gail my entire life. She was alway kind and caring and always looked after my parents who also retired to Florida. She would tell me how much she loved and cherished her family and despite a very busy life between home and work she always found time to visit or write or make a call,...all with the genuine desire to help and comfort in any way possible. She was truly the best...and she will be missed so dearly. Gail, you will be missed, rest in peace and know that your caring and love will always be remembered.
