Geoffrey Greene Obituary
Mr. Greene was a member of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto. He was also active in several community organizations having served on the boards of YMCA and Salvation Army here in Citrus County. He regularly provided support and assistance to the Citrus County Animal Shelter – both Geoff and his wife loved and cared for numerous injured and abandoned animals.
Survived by his wife of 35 years, Sheila S. Greene; one daughter, Jennifer and her husband Dennis Fleming; one brother, Timothy Greene; two grandchildren, Mason and Jillian Fleming; several nieces; and one nephew.
A celebration of life for Geoffrey Greene will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto. The family has strong wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations instead be made to the following local community organizations, the Citrus County YMCA, Citrus County Animal Shelter, or Salvation Army of Citrus County.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto.
The Greene Family sincerely appreciates the intention, but strongly requests no flowers. Instead donations can be made to any of the following local Charities, referenced as a memorial gift in honor of Geoffrey Greene:
