Irene Herrin Obituary
She was born to the late Amedee and Nelida (Herbert) Pelletier on December 11, 1924 in Nashua, NH. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Quinton Sr., who she met in 1941 at age 16 and married in 1945. Quinton Sr. passed away on December 5, 2017.
Irene worked as a secretary for Sanders Associates Electronics, (now BAE Systems) in Nashua, N.H. for many years. She relocated to the Inverness area in 2001 after moving from Kissimmee, FL., where she worked and retired as a crossing guard for Osceola Co. Sheriff's office.
In Irene's younger years, she enjoyed sewing, jogging, and especially fishing with her husband Quinton Sr. In Irene's later years she enjoyed attending the ladies morning bible group at her church, First Christian Church in Inverness, Fl. where she was a member. Irene also enjoyed reading and playing dominoes with her daughter who she lived with for the past three years.
Irene loved giving words of wisdom, hugs and kisses to her Grandchildren. She loved her family and church family. Above all, Irene loved her Lord and Savior.
Irene is survived by her five children: Quinton R. (Gilda) Herrin Jr., Inverness, FL, Curtis T. (Carolyn) Herrin, Merritt Island, FL, her daughter, Marlene (John) Moran, Inverness, FL, Douglas A. (Cherie) Herrin, Orlando, FL, and Richard T. (Peggy) Herrin, Cocoa Beach, FL; her sister, Muriel Briand, Melbourne, FL; 11 grandchildren (Donnie, Jennifer, Wendi, Hollie, Coleen, Jonathan, Travis, Austin, Sean, Sarah, Christopher); and 13 great-grandchildren (Calvin, Hannah, Keira, Ella, Jaiden, Meghan, Alexander (Alex), Amelia, Quinn, Julia, Jonah,Catherine (Cate).
Irene: AKA, Mom, Mommie, Memere, Mum, Ma, Frenchie, Aunt Irene, ol'girl, Ma Tante Irene was loved and is dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life Service for Irene, will be conducted on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the First Christian Church at 218 Colonade Street, Inverness, with Pastors Tom Thomas and Ray Kelly officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
