James Bean Obituary

James H. "Jimmy" Bean, 67, of Floral City, FL passed away January 10, 2018 at his residence in Floral City. He was born in St. Petersburg, FL on February 1, 1950 to the late Victor Hugo and Betty Jo (Wendell) Bean. James was a Lineman with Withlacoochee River Electric Company, and arrived in this area in 2011, coming from Brooksville, FL. He was Pentecostal by faith, and enjoyed flea markets, riding motorcycles, and going to yard sales. Most importantly, he was a very loving and dedicated husband. He was the type of man who would never hesitate to say "I Love You".
James was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Bean.
Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 5 years, Jennifer Ashley-Bean of Floral City; one son, Michael Bean and his wife Jeannie of Masaryktown, FL; and 1 sister: Vicki Watson and husband Richard of Brooksville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Chatty Nix and husband Jerry of Brooksville, Janie Jernigan and her husband Mitchell of Brooksville, Ruth Ann Duttolit and her husband Michael Braschler of New Port Richey, FL, and Patricia Batson and her husband Coy of Homosassa; mother in-law, Jane T. Ashley and brother in-law, Henry H. Higgenbotham, both of Brooksville; and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He is resting peacefully with his son Rodney, watching and waiting on us. He has left a hole in our lives and hearts that will never be filled. We are all heartbroken. He was loved by his wife, his family, and his friends. He made people better just by being himself. He is a good man.
Graveside services for James will be held at the Lake Lindsey Cemetery, Brooksville, on Saturday, January 27th, at 1:00 PM. Friends are invited to fellowship with the family at Eden Baptist Church, across from the cemetery, immediately following the service. Arrangements under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.

Sitting here and seen this on Facebook and am devastated. I worked with Jimmy the first 4 years of my career at Withlacoochee. He was one of my first mentors someone I admired very much. He was absolutely the strongest man I've ever known he could grab you by the wrist and make your big toe hurt. The world has lost another great man, never to be replaced. To the family my deepest heartfelt condolences, I will keep you in my prayers and as my Daddy always said who I'm sure has already hooked up with Jimmy in Heaven and started catching up, God still cares! Love you James Howard Bean thank you being my friend!
